LDNA comes to Forest Hill! There’s plenty to rave about in this corner of South-East London, especially on Dartmouth Road, where super excitingly you will find us stocked at Better Things. Run by wonderful store owner, Jacqui, Better Things is a retail space that has been celebrating and supporting independent makers and brands since November 2022. Unlike the standard retail shop, Better Things hosts thoughtfully crafted curations showcasing incredible independent brands, which change every 2 months.
Amazing creatives and makers that have been represented include up-cyclers Grandpa's Shirts, wearable arts fashion brand Aff & Jam, and aromatherapy skincare by Ametrine Skin. In addition, shoppers can also enjoy exciting pop-ups and wonderful workshops in this friendly and creative spot. Better Things is the perfect place in Forest Hill shop homeware, lifestyle & gifting goods whilst supporting independent brands and makers.
EATING AND DRINKING
Dartmouth Road is home to many great local businesses, which means when you visit Better Things, you can make your trip a super enjoyable whole day experience, especially worth your while if you're not local to the ends. Be sure to fit in the Horniman Museum too!
For eating, we love Bona's sourdough Neopolitan style pizza, which is cooked in a wood-fired Acunto oven. Super yummy, slightly chewy and lightly charred crust using key ingredients sourced in Italy - what more could you want from a Pizza. Sylvan Post is a pub in an old post office where you can enjoy food from burgers to Sunday roast washed down a pint of craft beer, all surrounded by vintage furniture and original fittings.
If cake, coffee and sandwiches is what you're after then Aga's Little Deli is a wonderful spot. Here, you can also pick up groceries such as cheese and salami's. And then for all manner of wholesomeness, you have to visit greengrocer and zero-waste shop, Beetroot and Beans.
